KARAT AFRICA
KARAT AFRICA was set up to ensure that social, environmental and economic considerations are mutually reinforcing, to enable the territories, local organisations and the entire economy of the DRC, but also the Pan-African economy, to succeed in its transformation towards a more innovative, inclusive and sustainable world. We are active as an incubator for inclusive and responsible businesses, as a vector for social and societal development in the artisanal and semi-industrial mining sector, in aid and support for education through loan-credit programmes and in property development, catering and participatory and sustainable hotels.

KARAT MINING
Karat Mining is mainly active in supporting the provinces and local cooperatives. We support and encourage artisanal and semi-industrial mining structures to develop in a sustainable and inclusive way that respects the environment and human beings. Through its comptoirs, it also reinvests in the industry by providing technical and professional support to its members and artisanal miners.
KARAT AGRO
Our team of professionals, men and women from the field as well as from the academic world, both local and international, has a wide range of skills in the field of agro-pastoral and semi-industrial and industrial processing, which it has been using for many years to promote innovation and support sustainable and inclusive development in various parts of the world.
KARAT PROJECTS
Karat Projects' main mission is to incubate around twenty businesses each year through its start-up and scale-up projects, focusing mainly on local socio-economic, agro-industrial and transformation projects that are innovative, sustainable and inclusive. Karat Projects is part of a dual international and local dynamic, implementing programmes that contribute to building a sustainable, inclusive and innovative economy.
KARAT STUDENT
Karat Student is an innovative participative savings cooperative that aims to offer an income on the savings of parents or students and to help these young students to manage their budget responsibly while offering them the possibility of financing their essential needs, including the necessary guidance for their studies.
KARAT HOSPITALITY
Karat Hospitality has been active for a number of years in Europe, the DRC and Africa, focusing primarily on innovative and participative circular economy catering and hospitality. Its mission is to create responsible, participative and learning catering and eco-tourism sites.
KARAT LIFE
Karat Life is our NPO, which creates and manages small, innovative, sustainable and inclusive transformation projects to support orphanages and provide training and a trade to volunteer orphans. This is part of
Karat Group's social responsibility. In this way, Karat life helps to provide a sustainable future for the orphans in these orphanages.
KARAT HOME
Karat Home's aim is to create modest, accessible homes using sustainable and innovative materials. These are affordable and offer contemporary architecture that is integrated into the environment and local communities. Our aim is to build around a hundred homes a year that are innovative, sustainable and adapted to climatic and environmental constraints, making them more pleasant, more economical and perfectly adapted.
